“Bizarre” and “confused”: Donald Trump spreads conspiracy theories about Joe Biden

The US President shared a post in which his predecessor was described as a "robot-controlled, soulless being." This is not the first provocation.
US President Donald Trump is once again spreading an absurd conspiracy theory about his predecessor, Joe Biden. According to a report in the New York Times, Trump shared a post on his platform, Truth Social, in which an anonymous user claims that Biden is not the real president, but was "executed" in 2020 and replaced by a "robotic, soulless being." The US president posted the post to his nearly ten million followers on the social network without comment. The White House declined to comment on such claims.
This isn't the first time Trump has stirred up sentiment against Joe Biden with unsubstantiated claims and demonstrably false statements. Since the beginning of Biden's term, the former president has regularly attacked his successor. A Washington Post analysis shows that during his first term alone, Trump made a total of 30,573 false or misleading statements—an average of about 21 per day.
During the election campaign, Biden made several erratic appearances and ultimately dropped the candidacy in favor of Kamala Harris . Since Biden's cancer became known, Trump's supporters in the "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) camp have repeatedly claimed that Biden had already been diagnosed with the disease while in office but successfully concealed it.
Trump on his predecessor: Biden is a “pretty evil person”Trump continues this course. Biden is a "pretty evil person," Trump claimed on Friday (May 30), adding: "If you feel sorry for him, don't feel sorry for him, because he's evil." His predecessor "harmed a lot of people," Trump further claimed, without providing any evidence to support his statement. "So I really don't feel sorry for him," the US president added, referring to Biden's illness.
Meanwhile, Biden told reporters last week that he was feeling well – and joked with them about the sometimes lurid claims about his mental state. "The prognosis is good. We're taking care of everything. Things are moving forward. I feel good," the 82-year-old said Friday after an event in his home state of Delaware.
🤣 Trump just re-posted this on Truth.

Meanwhile, the US press's verdict is also clear. The president's behavior is "bizarre," "confused," "disturbed," and "idiotic," according to headlines about Trump's absurd conspiracy theory about an alleged robot-controlled Biden clone.
Donald Trump and his MAGA supporters repeatedly resort to demonstrably false claims. In the past, he has repeatedly made the debunked claim that former President Barack Obama was not born in the United States—a conspiracy narrative that even verifiable evidence has failed to stop.
During the last election campaign, Trump also caused outrage when he claimed that Haitian immigrants were eating pets. "They eat cats, they eat dogs," he said. This statement, too, was quickly debunked, but it apparently served its purpose: It caused a stir.
